Celebrate Christmas at The Swallow’s Nest farm with a festive Highland Cow Experience.
You’ll meet, feed and brush them at our decorated Christmas Gate and Kissing Booth.
You might even get a little slobber - a small Christmas gift from the cows.
The package
This is a private session where you can enjoy time with the cows and capture relaxed Christmas photos in a beautiful farm setting. You’ll learn about the breed, as well as each cow’s quirks and personalities. Your visit includes a gallery of Christmas images to share and look back on. Pro tip: Christmas outfits or neutrals look great in photos!

*Please Note: This is a private property. All visits must be booked in advance. We do not accept drop-ins. To ensure the safety of our animals and the privacy of the property, unannounced visitors will be turned away. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to welcoming you by appointment. FAQ
What happens if it rains - Can we reschedule?
Sessions can go ahead in light rain conditions, but in extreme weather (e.g. thunderstorms, heavy downpour, extreme heat) we’ll reschedule your booking at no extra charge. Please note: All bookings are non-refundable.
what should I bring?
We provide animal feed, but you’re welcome to bring 1x bag of carrots as an extra treat! Please wear weather-appropriate clothing and closed-in shoes (esp. after rain). Festive outfits are always encouraged, but definitely optional.
When will we receive our photos?
Your gallery will be delivered in the week following your experience, with all Christmas galleries returned by 24th December to ensure families attending closer to Christmas still receive their images in time.
