We’re launching a series of painting workshops here at The Swallow’s Nest. Set in the heart of the farm, these sessions offer the chance to slow down, create and connect - surrounded by open paddocks, still waters and our friendly herd of Highland cows.
From playful “Paint and Pat” sessions perfect for bridal parties and birthday gatherings, to high-end artist-led workshops focused on landscape, still life and animal studies - there’ll be something for everyone. Whether you’re here for the joy of painting or the magic of the setting, these workshops will leave you inspired and creatively recharged.

The Paint & Pat Workshop
For groups, celebrations, and a little countryside fun
Perfect for bridal parties, birthdays, or a unique day out with friends, this relaxed, feel-good session blends creativity with animal connection. You’ll start by meeting and feeding our Highland cows, then settle in for a guided painting session overlooking the paddocks and still waters of the lake. All materials are provided - just bring your curiosity and a sense of fun. You’ll leave with a keepsake artwork and a collection of professionally edited photos.

The Artist’s Workshop
For artists, aesthetes, and those craving creative space
Designed for those who seek more than a casual class, this workshop offers time to slow down, connect and create with intention. Led by professional artists and set among open paddocks, sandstone steps and still lake waters, you’ll explore different mediums and techniques while drawing inspiration straight from the land. You'll be provided with quality materials, thoughtful guidance and space to truly immerse yourself in the creative process.
